Gross motor skills

Help your child learn to use the large muscles in their arms, legs, stomach, and back.

Overview

As your child grows and develops, they begin to use their large muscles for skills like rolling, sitting, moving, playing, and walking. When they develop these skills, they're also working on coordination and balance.

Pediatric rehabilitation can help if your child is having challenges in these areas of development.

Our work takes place on historical and contemporary Indigenous lands, including the territories of Treaty 6, Treaty 7 & Treaty 8 and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta and 8 Métis Settlements. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous communities that have been forged in urban centres across Alberta.
