It's important for your loved one to stay social and physically active as the dementia gets worse. This is especially important if your loved one enjoyed these things before their diagnosis.
There are safe ways to play sports, do outdoor activities, and hobbies even as the dementia worsens. For example, if your loved one enjoys tennis, they could try ping pong or a virtual video game like Wii as they find it harder to move or stay focused. They can also try walking and hiking using GPS technology (like MedicAlert's Safely Home) to help keep them safe.
