Preventive dental health services are offered to students in Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 to prevent tooth decay.
AHS (Alberta Health Services) health zones partner with schools in low income neighborhoods to provide preventive dental services at school.
Information about services along with a consent form is sent home to all students in eligible schools. A parent or legal guardian signature is required for service.

Care is coordinated by a mental health therapist and / or addiction counselor. Goal directed services are tailored to the needs of individual clients. The number of sessions are based on need and motivation of the client.

Third-party operated food and drink outlets, and vending machines are available in various Alberta Health Services facilities. Emergency departments:
Emergency Department wait times are now available for Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer.
Wait times in emergency departments are not predictable. People are triaged using a standardized triage scoring system (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) to help determine how sick they are.
General Radiography uses x-rays to produce images of the structures inside the body, particularly bones. X-ray beams can pass through the body, but they are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the material they pass through.
In accordance with Alberta’s Health Information Act, this is a service which enables the release of individually identifiable health information with or without the consent of an individual.
All requests are charged a fee in accordance with the Health Information Act. A basic fee of $25.00 is applied to all requests which includes up to 20 pages depending on record format i.e. paper, electronic or microfilm record. Each additional page costs from .25 to .50 cents per page. Dependent on the type of request additional costs may apply.
If you are unable to pay the fee, please submit evidence of financial hardship.

As part of our support for patient care and comfort, friends and family of inpatients at hospital and health care facilities can send well wishes via email. Sites participating in the program will receive the message, will ensure that the message is only "well-wish" (any other type of communication will be deleted) and will arrange for delivery within 3 business days. A couple of important reminders - the electronic delivery system is not a secure connection, so please don't add any confidential information to your message. Plus the "well-wish" system does not allow for replies or confirm receipt / delivery confirmation.
Patient Food Services ensures patients receive the diet the doctor or dietitian orders. Our team of dietitians, food service supervisors, and qualified cooks plan and continually improve menus.
