COVID-19 VACCINE UPDATE

In alignment with instruction given in a July 2024 presentation to the Federal, Provincial, and Territorial (FPT) Canadian Immunization Committee, by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Alberta has withdrawn XBB COVID-19 vaccine prior to the KP.2 formulation being released.

COVID-19 vaccines with previous strains or formulations are no longer being offered in Alberta.

New mRNA COVID-19 KP.2 strain vaccines are currently going through the Health Canada approval process and have not yet been approved in Canada. Updates will be provided on this page as available.

Eligibility

All Albertans 6 months of age and older are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
