Answer the questions below to see if you are at risk for falling:
Have you had a slip, trip or fall in the past year? |
Do you have diabetes, heart or kidney disease? |
Do you tend to do many things at once? |
Do you tire easily? |
Do you have trouble walking? |
Do you feel unsteady? |
Do you do less than 30 minutes of physical activity a day? |
Do you ever feel dizzy or lightheaded? |
Do you take sleeping pills, tranquilizers or anti-depressants? |
Has it been more than 1 year since your doctor or pharmacist reviewed your medications? |
Is it hard to get up from a chair or toilet? |
Has it been more than 1 year since you had your eyes checked? |
Do you rush to the bathroom? |
Is it hard to eat a well-balanced diet? |
Do you have trouble with your feet? |
Are your shoes old, tight, or loose-fitting? |
Are you afraid of falling? |
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you have a higher chance of falling.
