Before you close your MyHealth Alberta Account
If you close your MyHealth Alberta Account, you cannot see or use My Personal Records or MyChart.
Before you close your MyHealth Alberta Account, we suggest you download or print your health information for future reference.
When you close your MyHealth Alberta Account, you will lose access to all the information that is in your account. You will also lose access to records that were shared with you.
Closing your MyHealth Alberta Account
Follow these steps to close your account:

Print Reports
To do this in
My Chart:
- Follow the instructions provided in
MyChart
Step 2
- Select the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the MyHealth Alberta Account Page Select
“Close Your Account” and follow the instructions.
Remember: Closing your MyHealth Alberta Account means you cannot see or use My Personal Records or MyChart on the mobile app or web browser. While you will no longer be able to access your My Personal Records or MyChart Account, your medical information and other associated data, such as your message history, will not be deleted as it is part of your patient record.
If you have previously shared your health information with others via Share My Record feature in My Personal Records or proxy access in MyChart, they will lose access to your health information when you close your MyHealth Alberta Account.
Closing your MyHealth Alberta Account will not deactivate your Alberta.ca Account. To use MyHealth Alberta in the future, you will need to create a new MyHealth Alberta Account or browse as a guest.
