You can monitor your blood oxygen levels to see if your body is receiving enough oxygen. When you measure the levels of oxygen in your blood, you can use the Blood Oxygen tool to enter your data.

Click the “red button” to add a new result. Your results will be shown as a graph, allowing you to monitor your blood oxygen levels over time. You can add the date, time, and level of activity during the test, as well as any notes.

By clicking the desired row in the table, you can edit or delete details.

You may filter results by date range as well as sorting by date and value.

You may adjust your target range for Blood Oxygen and Blood Pressure in Tools and Settings. Simply click the edit button and enter the appropriate low/high values. These can be edited at any time or you can click reset to return to default settings.

You will see 3 sections in the Blood Sugars and Insulin Use Tool:

• Blood Sugars, which lets you keep track of your blood sugar level.
• My Insulin Information, which helps you track the type of insulin you use. You need to update this section if you want to use the Insulin Use section.
• Insulin Use, which lets you keep track of your insulin use. To use this section you have to first update the My Insulin Information section above.

Click the "red button" to:

• Add My Insulin Information
• Add Insulin Use
• Add Blood Sugar

Click on one of the items to edit or delete it.

Reports are retrieved from Alberta Netcare (the provincial electronic health record application) and are normally available 48 hours after the test or procedure is completed. Allow at least 10 working days before speaking with your health care provider if the report is not displayed.

Reports for tests or procedures completed after March 20, 2023, are displayed in My Personal Records. Report images are not stored in Alberta Netcare therefore they are not displayed in My Personal Records. Alberta Netcare can only access reports for tests or procedures completed within Alberta.

If you have questions about your report, speak with the health care provider who ordered the test or procedure.

Print Reports enables you to create and print a PDF report of your information.

FAQs for your Lab Results

All available Lab Results from Alberta Netcare are found here.

When you start using MyHealth Records, the Alberta Netcare Lab Results section will show your lab test results from the last 18 months. New results will display every login.

Updates to this section will show your Lab Results up to 11:59 p.m. as of the date and time indicated. You cannot change or edit this information. Contact MHR Support at 1-800-315-6028 if your information does not look right. 

Talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions about your lab test results.

You can filter your results by clicking on "Show Filter Options", then click on the down arrow next to "All" to select the number of days you want to see from the drop-down list. You can also search for a lab test by entering the test name in the ‘Search’ box.

Test results are listed by date so the newest results will display first.

Lab tests are grouped according to how they were ordered by your doctor. For example, if your doctor ordered a series of blood tests, your doctor would select CBC-Differential on the lab requisition form. Therefore, your specific test results would appear under the CBC-Differential heading.

Results are shown within a group on individual cards on the page and include the following:

• Status
• Reference Range (where applicable)
• Abnormality

To see the history of a lab test, click on the test name. This will open your test history on the right side of your screen. Some results may appear in a graph while others will not include a graph. All results are displayed with text.

Some test results will display as '1 of 2' or more if there are multiple results for the same test result. The results may be viewed by using the left and right arrows.

The blue "Set up Notifications" button allows you to receive updates about your Lab Results or to send notifications to a trusted person. If you want them to receive updates, share your record with them. It's that simple!

The blue "Print Lab Results" button allows you to create and print a PDF report of your information.

Click on “Print Lab Results", select your preferred date range (all days or anywhere between 7 days to 12 months) and be sure to click "Save" on your selection.

You can select what type of information you want to see printed on your report (blood oxygen, blood pressure measurements, immunizations, insulin medications, lab results, etc.) and click "Save" on your selection.

When your selections have been made, click the blue "Export" button to produce the report. The PDF report will be created so you can anywhere on your device.

Once you have made your selection, click "Save".

The Procedures tool in My Personal Records (MPR) enables you to keep track of your health procedures.

Self-enter information to keep track of tests and procedures that do not show in My Personal Records including dental procedures and out of province surgeries.

Information you self-enter will appear with a yellow line in the left margin and in the future when reports are coming from Alberta Netcare, they will not allow online editing and will appear with a blue line in the left margin.

Add a Procedure

You can self-enter a procedure by clicking the “Add Procedure” button.

“Add Procedure” allows you to enter information about your procedure.

Click “Procedure Details” in any row to see expanded details. For self-entered information you can edit or delete a procedure. For Procedures information provided by Alberta Netcare in the future, edit and delete will not be an option.

Details appear in the panel named after the relevant procedure.

Print Reports

You can print report information to a PDF by clicking the ‘Print Report’ button in the procedures tool. This button will redirect you to the Print Report screen. Follow the directions in the Print Reports article.

Select the ‘Procedures’ option to include this information in the “Print Reports” PDF.

Click “Save” and follow the instructions to “Export” the PDF file for viewing or printing.

Respiratory Health tracks the number of breaths you take per minute. Normal breathing rates for an adult are 12-20 breaths per minute. MyHealth Records lets you regularly measure your respiratory rate to find out if your body is receiving enough oxygen.

This information can come from a connected device such as Apple Health or add your own respiratory rate.

To add an entry, click the “red button” . Track your Inhaler Usage, Peak Flow and Respiratory Rate by entering all the required information.

Vital signs are some of the most important medical signs that indicate the status of your body’s vital functions.

Vital signs include body temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure. MyHealth Records lets you track your vital signs to help assess your overall physical health.

This information can come from a connected device such as Apple Health.
